Yes, no doubt cold calling brings the business. But if you will think that one fine morning you will just wake up and make some calls and people will turn into your clients. Then I am sorry to reveal this but it won’t happen.

The sole aim of any cold calling should not be to speak about your product and services. Today is the time when people are too busy with their own life and even if they are not busy it does not give you any right to call them and start telling them about your services, until he is asking for any information.
The most decent intention and most appreciated reason for cold calling should to ask the client if he is free and if he could give an appointment to you so that you can personally visit him and tell him about his services.

You should always be ready with a script. However a script never works as you might never know what the customer might ask you. But still having a good script with no vocabulary errors keeps you on a safer side.
Well behaved
Whenever you are speaking to any client make sure that you are well behaved with him. Speak to him in a gentle way. Even if he turns out rude to you as you might not know what conditions he is into and anyways you called him up and disturbed him. So keep all your ego aside and call.
