Where can I find good website analysis tools?

What I really need to know is where I can find good tools that will analyse a website and tell me what's good and bad about it in terms of SEO.

Googles webmaster tools is ok, it gives an indication of how many incoming links a site has, but it's often a bit out of date and the list of incoming links is incomplete.

Can anyone suggest a good site that can analyse this sort of stuff?

Here are some tools I use for analysis.

I'm sure they'll be of use to you.

    Quantcast.com

    Alexa.com

    Toolbar.Google.com

    Alexa.com/Toolbar

    Quantcast.OurToolbar.com

While there are many different tools on the web, the best idea would be to hire a company to do the analysis for you. Those are usually low priced - for example, at my company, we offer a complete website review and analysis for $49.

Depends on how important it is to you.

Yes, Google Analytic and Webmaster. I use them because they are from Google and you get the most recent info about your site

I'm using analytics and WMT as well at the moment. good information on who's coming to your site and where they're coming from with analytics I find, but not much on hwo you can improve your site in Googles eyes.

    You can try statcounter.com
That is a great site which I have been using for more than two years. All you have to do is to just create an account and paste a small piece of code in your website. They will give detailed report including number of page views, resent key word activities, visitor paths, visitor length, locations, from which search engine they came etc...

Webmaster is great but you have to be patient and give their crawler time to analyze your site - mine took 4 months but now I have all the webmaster features and it updates regularly
