    website has made zero sales

    Hi,

    I created StreetAlbums.com

A website which specialises in the creation of hip hop mixtapes, we offer various packages on our website to cater for different needs.

The website has been online for around, 2 weeks... I have had only a few number of emails/enquiries for services, to which I replied in an approriate manner and neither person replied back and as a result, I made no sale.

I have done many mixtapes etc for artist's before, and am a success as far as my role in the music industry goes, however, this website just seems not to be taking off... Is there anything I am missing, anything which might have been skipped?

Many thanks for any advice on how to increase sales or marketing advice for the website,

    Thomas

To be serious, I dont have much financial backing

I tried google advertisment, put $15 down and had plenty of hits, like near 4,000 a day, but it didnt generate any interest? So I assume it was not the advertisment, as it did bring in visitors (and correct ones, I had strict keywords only relating to people intrested in purchasing our services), so I decided not to put any more money into google advertisment.

I advertise in on myspace (4,000 friends), facebook (1,300 friends) and that is around all I am able to do, or I can think of right now, I really do need more marketing advice, and it would be very much appreciated, many thanks!

yea by offline i mean people, flyers, magazines, etc. and those soures could help get the word out about your mixtape website. Maybe you could try to branch out more in the UK if possible then as sales pick up start to focus more on the US.

What do your Google analytics show? How much traffic is coming to your site? Are people staying or are they bouncing off your site? Your analytics stats will show this.

If you're not getting enough traffic, then you need to focus on driving people to the site using stuff like SEO, backlinking, linkwheels, article marketing, etc...

If people are bouncing off the site then you need to tune-up the site to make it stickier.

Internet marketing takes time. You need to be in it for the long haul. Two weeks is no cause to start worrying.

A good free way to get some advertising is by writing about something related to your site that people are interested in and publishing it online where people who are potential customers will read it. It's a nice cheap and powerful advertising technique.

Hold up - you paid $15 and got 4000 visitors a day to your site? How long did that last for?

that seems pretty damn good to me. I'd happily pay $15 for 4000 uniques! I'd really like to know more about this - was this using adwords? what keywords?

yep, using adwords... it was 4,000 hits... that is not unique visitors, just hits, the unique visitors numbers were in the region of 140-200 daily (my mistake for any confusion caused)

No, it's probably just me not being up to speed on the lingo.

How long did you $15 last and what were you paying per click? I've always thought adwords was pretty expensive, but perhaps not?
