As search engines are factoring social signals such as, Facebook Likes and Retweets in to their ranking algorithm a solid social media marketing strategy can significantly benefit your SEO efforts.

Understand that people connect with a lifestyle more often than they do a brand. Businesses that promote a lifestyle over a brand typically are more effective in the social media space. Wouldn't you be more interested in what a friend had to say about Nike vs. what Nike themselves had to say about a new shoe?

You need to also consider the QUALITY of your traffic. There are plenty of sites, forums and social media sites that can bring over a slew of traffic, but unless those people are buying your products or service, it can be a lot of work with very little reward. Make sure you are carefully targeting your traffic and measure your results. Don't just measure how many people came over; measure how many people completed goals. If you use Google Analytics you can set up goals on your site so you can see exactly what traffic is "good" traffic.

Also keep in mind that people will have no interest in following you on social media sites if all they are getting is a sales pitch, you have to provide them with valuable information or something meaningful.

SEO and link building is the best way to approach traffic. However, none of it matters if you do not have good content for your users.

Make sure you rank high in Google for your search terms, and be sure to have many inbound links to your site.

Smile Getting more traffic to your website

Driving more traffic to your website is best done using a few different methods:

On site SEO -this means to make sure the title of your website, the description, keywords and URL is all relevant to your targeted market/keywords. You can go so far as to tag your images with your keywords as well, but as to the weight this is in google's eyes, I'm not entirely sure.

Off site SEO -this means to build back links and distribute content to other sites. Blogs have become a very popular method for a number of reasons. Mainly because Google and other search engines like the fresh original content that's typically updated regularly, but also because it's more of a social interaction because people trust people they know and people want to interact online, not just read something and never get the chance to speak up.

Article writing is a great way, websites such as ezine are pretty good for building your backlinks and driving traffic. Social media is also great i.e. facebook, twitter, delicious, digg etc. and of course the fastest growing sector, which is video. i.e. youtube vimeo, etc. correct me if I'm wrong, but last I heard, around 50% of traffic online was video related. And even if I am wrong, I put my left @#$ that it will be that in the future.

If you're doing SEO, the idea is to have RELEVANT content and lots of nice back links so that Google see's that you're a reputable website/business.

Paid Advertising -this is by far the quickest way, but it can also be the most expensive. It involves PPC (pay per click) advertising and PCM (Pay Per thousand impressions). The top ones are obviously Google and Facebook, but Yahoo and others can also be a great way to get more targeted cheap traffic. Again relevant traffic will result in sales provided your site is ok.

The key to getting traffic is having the right target market, instead of trying to attract random people. It's not enough to just get traffic, that traffic has to convert into sales otherwise you're just going to have one popular website and empty pockets. If you can keep these things in mind, then you'll be on to a winner ;-)

Oh yeah, and track EVERYTHING. test and measure. And if it's not working, don't give up, just change what you're doing and try something else.

    hope that helps.

See for getting huge traffic on your website there is just one word which is "GOOGLE". From google you will gety the organic traffic. If your website get some of the high possittion in search engine for high competetive keywords, then it's a sort of icing on the cake.

I think the best way to drive more traffic to your site is to use any of the Social Media Platforms available in the world wide web. Plus Link Building!
