    Questions to ask...

What questions would you guys ask to a target audience of college students for market research for an online dating site?

What's your offering in your site?
Maybe you like to describe your business a bit?

Are you sure? As far as I know, college students are one of the demographic that hates cold calling as a way of marketing or sales. They simply don't engage such calls.

As for the main question, I am not sure whether going around doing survey is the best way to solicit feedback for a dating site because there are tons of dating sites out there, even those that are targeted towards teens and college students. You should start by doing your research on these dating sites and perhaps getting in touch with their members that fit into your target demographic. From there, you can ask them what do they like/hate about that particular dating site that they are part of.

    Online surveys can work.

College students may or may not be answering all your questions though still, most students could be interested in this dating niche so you'll get enough answers once you've started to get in touch with them. You can also do a survey offline so you can weigh on both results.
