With affiliate program you should think your margins very carefully. With two tier affiliate program you are giving at least 50% away.

    Hi Jrod,

The best and cheapest way to market your business would be no doubt twitter, Facebook, etc. these days Facebook and other social networks are playing a vital role in promoting brands online. You can start sharing your ideas with your friends on these networks who in turn will spread it to their friends. For many, social media marketing has proved to be significant for their businesses. You can easily create a fanpage on Facebook, on which you can promote deals related to your business, update your fanpage wall, post blogs and comments and spread awareness and let people know what your brand has to offer. Plus, you can also put in a pinch of benefits and deals which would highlight your business over your competitors
P.S Facebook also supports Promoting links by making them ads. They charge for this service of course but the price isn't that high and worth spending if you get good deals out of it later.

Facebook and Twitter takes a lot of your time. That's why SEO is much more viable option.

Have you tried using Google Adwords? Just don't do broad based advertising - set the campaign for a specific location, like city (or state if you're willing to go that wide). You may have good results if the Internet searcher is from the same geographic area.

You can post on directories, advertise on related forums and websites.

What's the niche of your business?
