For example are these online adds going to be used to send people to your website, or to get them to visit your shop, or call your office? What is the desired outcome?

Coming from experience, classified adds on the internet do not produce a high volume of traffic. Your time could be better spent marketing your business differently online.

Although if you really do want to try business listings etc, please explain the situation a bit more so our advice is more sprecific.

You can also try directory submission. There are lots of free web directories that will surely list your site. That is a good marketing strategy.

I agree with what James says here.You need to have a marketing plan ready to know where to advertise,whom to advertise and when.If you can share the details,definitely you will get better suggestions.

Mind you sites like craigslist are not great places you can expect traffic from.Though you wont lose much if its a free posting.

Agree with you buddy, very true.. Article marketing. You must author and publish articles. It shows that you are the expert, and it's a great tool for directing traffic.
