Is Music on a website a good idea?

How professional is having music attached to your website? Is that attractive?

There's a lot of variables that factor into a good answer for that question. If music is essential to your business, like if you are a musician or a seller of music, then having music available to listent to is important.

If your business has nothing to do with music, you can still have music available on your site, but it may not serve much purpose.

As far as having music that automatically starts when you land on a page, that is almost always more annoying than helpful, no matter the audience.

I believe that the right music can be enjoyable if it plays automatically, just as long as the music fits your target audience, isn't too loud, and can be EASILY stopped.

If the music is in sink with the emotion of your website visitor and is complementing your website design, it is a good idea. Not everyone mutes it, but it is good to give an option to mute music.

Depends on the goal of your website. I personally dont like music and videos that play automatically.

Personally I HATE music that plays at the start of a site, because I usually listen to music while online or am somewhere where my computer shouldn't be making noise. I agree with theblackuplist though, if your a musician or are related to music it might not be that bad. Maybe you could have a pop up asking people if they would like music or not though.

No it's distracting and just plain annoying especially if its automatic ones that blare out way before the page loads while you are trying to watch tv or listing to better music than the crap most people put on their sites. No bueno. lol

I am agreed with JamesOCR that it is not a good idea to use music on website. I also don't like it. There are many sites that need no music.

it's done by html code , in this we put plugin and upload link of music file... it's good if you want to sell some items another wise its not a professionalism............
