Question I need economical food label and marketing material printing. Ideas?

I'm starting a small mail-order dessert business. I'm currently working to get all the licensing worked out and am on a shoe-string budget. I need to print some labels for the heat-sealed food bags and additionally some marketing material to go inside the boxes. I have looked around and the labels are quite expensive, nearly 67 cents a piece for 3.5" by 4" unless I spend over $500. I just can't do that right now.

Anyone know any economical but descent printing sources?

    Any help is appreciated.

Google for your local printing shops. $0.67 is actually a really good price for that size and quantity. Maybe start with a smaller inventory? In one of my ventures (still going today), I was paying $0.95 per label and then about $0.50 per label to get printed. With things like this, always get 3 quotes before choosing a supplier.

What kind of packaging materials are you using? Is it paper bag or paper carton? I suggest stamping. Your label design could be carved in a stamp. A logo with your name and contact number. It is nice and cheaper.
