Hello,
I created a web application that lets you know when someone opens your word documents. I created it so I would know when other companies were reading my resume. It is extremely frustrating when you send your resume off and it feels like its going into a black-hole never to seen again.
I turned this into a web application, and I think it has some potential to make money because I think others would like to know when their resumes (or memos or homework assignments or whatever) are being read. I set up an affiliate program, but now I need affiliates to help me market it. Would anyone here be interested in helping me? An affiliate program is basically I give you a special link to put on your website, and when a visitor clicks that link thru to my site and purchases a subscription, you get a percentage of the sale.
I'm currently paying 40% commission, and 12% for tiered commissions. So in numbers, this works out to:
1-Month Plan: $19.99 * 40% = $8.00
3-Month Plan: $29.99 * 40% = $12.00
1-Year Plan: $99.99 * 40% = $40.00
If you refer an affiliate and they make a sale, your commission on that commission will be 12%. Examples:
1-Mo: $8 * 12% = $0.96
3-Mo: $12 * 12% = $1.44
1-Yr: $40 * 12% = $4.80
I decided on these price-points after talking to several friends about what the program was worth to them. If the prices turn out to be too high, then I'll lower them.
So... would anyone be interested in marketing this? You can get a free-trial for the application here. Play around with the application and tell me what you think:

For the curious, here's what the "Your Trackers" page looks like: http://www.dokutracker.com/images/screenshot.png
