Post How to Use Twitter for Marketing & PR

    1
Create a Twitter account. You'll need to pick a username that tells followers what your company is. It could be your company name (the most popular option) or a short tag line. Personalize your page with your company logo and a custom background that matches your brand image. Treat your Twitter page as you would treat your website--t's just as important to have branding here.

    2
Post your first tweet. It doesn't have to be epiphany inducing, just something that says "We're here and we want to hear what our customers have to say." But keep your brand in mind while tweeting. Don't start off with a super serious tone if your brand image is friendly and fun. But don't try to be too clever if you're a serious-minded business either. Twitter should be casual without being too familiar.

    3
Pick some people to follow. You might want to follow anyone from competitors to suppliers to sellers and even individuals who are fans of your company. You can search for these people and see who's talking about you and what they are saying. Twitter can also help you keep up to date on industry news and trends.

    4
Step up the interaction. If someone tweets something about your company that you like, you can retweet it so that all of your followers can see it, too. If someone has a question or complaint, you can respond directly to him. And don't forget to use Twitter to toot your own horn. Tweet about product launches, events or even special offers for Twitter followers.

    5
Measure your results. Once you have been successfully utilizing your Twitter account for a few months, you should see an increase in your follower counts and the amount of retweets and mentions your company gets. These are good measurement tools, because you know that counts are accurate and you can see exactly what was said and by whom. Looking through your followers will also give you a good idea if your target market is on aim.

A couple more good notes about Twitter is to make sure you are generating lots and lots of good content. Even hire a social media manager if you are having trouble with staying on top of adding new tweets or responding to fans/followers (this is very cheap to do nowadays). One cool way I have seen of generating lots of good content is using a combination of Google reader and Hootsuite. Add a bunch of industry related blogs to your Google reader then tweet scheduled links to them using Hootsuite.

Another practice you will want to take up is following people who known to follow back and actively participate in the Twitter community regardless of what your business specialty is.

A final note is you will want to study and try all out all the different Twitter tools on the market to see what works best (there are 100's to go through, some very valuable). Also twitter exchanges can be key as popularity and image is a large part of the Twitter battle.

Also remember this things when using twitter:

    1. Use # hash tag when searching some popular and related target followers.
    2. Share your opinion about hot topics listed on the left side of the twitter page.
    3. Asked questions to your followers.
    4. Respond to all replies on your post.
    5. Don't use all caps when updating.
    6. Don't spam. Don't just post your blog sites, or your other sites. You're followers will be losing interest. Don't post the same link more than once.

    hello friends,
Twitter is really helpful for SEO campaign, you need to get highest quality, laser targeted Twitter followers. The more targeted followers you have, the more it will affect your business. Having many followers will help you build your brand and more people will know about your business. As you might know.. best advertising is word of mouth. Having targeted followers will increase your social range of clients which means more money for your business. Its also very beneficial for SEO.
