How to create good traffic for my new website?

I have a few ways to promote my new business/website like youtube, facebook, twitter, SEO, and we plan on doing all of this. Im looking for some new ideas on how to create traffic. My website is going to dip into a market similar to Groupon. I am also open to hiring a web promoter if your service seems worthy, we plan on launching in august and want as many eyes to see our site as possible so im open to any/all solutions.

    Thanks
    Jazz

#1) Bookmark your site at del.icio.us.com and stumbleupon.com - These are "search engine" type sites that work through social bookmarking instead of algorithm based ranking like Google. Create a membership on these sites and bookmark your site, again making sure you have a catchy phrase in your post, you're trying to catch peoples' attention. Del.icio.us.com is probably the most desirable of these sights, but stumblupon has given one of my sites over 30,000 visitors in less than a month. If you have a technology based site, another good one is digg.com.

#2) Get some friends or colleagues to post and bookmark your site at around the same time as you do so you get more exposure. #3) Submit your site to boingboing.net. Boingboing allows you to submit your site for consideration. Most of the other "link" sites seem to enjoy finding you on their own.

Almost everything has been high-lightened by our fellow friends. I would just like to emphasize , keep bookmarking everything new you post on your website on regular interval and if possible ask your friend to do the same.

First to improve a site you have to aware of link building policy of search engines. For example if we consider Google than to avoid spamming you must have knowledge of Panda and Penguin updates. Then by maintaining the rules you have to go through including off-page and on-page optimization. In off-page you can get traffic by doing blog commenting, social bookmarking, forum posting etc.And in on-page keyword research is essential.

Good advice here. Question is, how long must you be blogging before you become credible as a guest blogger elsewhere?
The name comes from a quote from Benjamin Franklin, who said:
"Drive thy business, or it will drive thee"

Do follow posting is very helpful for the blogs and it takes your site to the higher rankings and one think keep in mind that blogs should be relevant to the content and they must not be irrelevant. Traffic will easily come to the site if quality work is done.

Thank you also for your cool information. Suppose I have a website where I am writing for lots of different category, Should I post it on every category of Do Follow? Thanks in advance!
