Google plus is, "Facebook without people".

Google has recently released its new project with the name Google +.
For many days this thought of calling it as a project instead of a product bugged me. Why do everybody refers Google plus as a project and not as a simple product or sevice?
The answer is that google is still working on adding more features to it and be more experimental, they don’t want people to think of this as the final product, but as a constantly-evolving entity that permeates every corner of this big Google empire.
Google will be adding and updating the project with more number of functionalities.
With the whole G.plus buzz around I could'nt have waited to watch the new talk of the town and try its features by myself.

I really dont think that Google + is the sole solution to facebook.
Mostly refered to as Facebook killer, I really did not find it to be worth it.Almost every feature from "Circles" to "Streams" has a counterpart feature in Facebook.
Google+ looks like facebook except the white backgroud colour. Google+ has a simple design with lots of white space. Overall the looks are simple and only a few people might find is boring design.
Only features that I personally adored in Google + are:
Google+ Hangouts: Hangouts is one of the more innovative concepts of Google+, and it’s a cool approach to getting users to accept group video chat. The camera switching feature (it changes who’s on camera based on who’s talking) is far superior to having multiple video feeds open at the same time. This is what I call a killer feature

Google+ Circles: Circles is well-implemented. It’s far easier than creating a Twitter List or a Facebook Friend List. The drag-and-drop functionality is a welcome addition, and the cute animations that appear when you perform actions give the product personality.

Apart from thses two features I think I really did not like te whole idea behind the project. Even the Google+profiles are similar to the Google profiles. I did not find anything new in it.
Overall I dont call it Facebook killer. It needs alot more than this to even stand in the competition.
Save tiger before its too late.

Google was stung when it's chrome backend was doing things that people felt undermined their privacy. Google still has various technologies in it's search that help to track your page visits and therefore supposedly give you a better search result.

I'm not sure there is any equation that makes Google any better than Facebook in the privacy and customer relationship stakes.

I think the mere media pressure of MySpace's comeback plan and Google+ has pushed Facebook into hyper active defensive mode. I honestly don't visit FB as much as I used to bc they keep changing the format. I've gone back to basic Yahoo and just chat with friends when/if they are online.

My difficulty was that Google+ did not integrate well with the other google services I use. I am an avid google reader user and share posts I like with various contacts, both personal and professional. I would have really liked to be able to share posts with some "circles" that it would be relevant to and not to others, but I couldn't figure out how to integrate the two.

Now, I get messages from friends in google reader, random posts from friends in Google Buzz, and status updates in Google Plus. This is an area I don't think they thought out very well.

To get back to business issues - Does anyone know about the advertising potential on Google+? Can companies create accounts similar to facebook pages to promote their business?

I think people are too comfortable with facebook to switch to google+. Even when they add the stupid changes, people adjust quickly to them.

Google + will only be successful by offering something new and different that people cant get on facebook. Otherwise whats the point of switching to something and reinvesting the time and effort into something new.

I find all the social network sites pretty boring. I really tried getting into it, but I just have more interesting things to do. I use it mainly as a contacts database.

I was trying to use google + to build my business, but I didn't get very far with it. It looked like a weird combo of facebook and twitter
