I've been designing websites, though not my current business, for individuals and small firms.

What has always been in the back of my mind that I would like to throw out among others, is this issue:

Websites were I know are only a 1 person use the verbiages such as; "About Us", "Let us..", "We can do it..." indicating there are more than 1 person in their company.

This has always bothered me. Is this an excepted "standard"? I know this is done to convey that they are a professional company, but is this not "deception"? Not deception with malice, but appearance deception.

Would like to get "Yea" or "Nay" on whether you believe its okay to appear that you are more than one when you are not? Please explain.

I'll add the first:

"Nay" - I've always been a one-woman design house and created my site and mrktg materials to reflect exactly that. Only one time, when I partnered with specific contractors, did I use the word "us".
