    Automotive Forum Marketing

I'm starting up a automotive forum that I will look to sell advertising on once it grows. Any suggestions on how to attract new members to get this started? I want to have contests for our photo gallery in the future where prizes will be given away. I purchase adwords from Google. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Seed your site with content so it doesnt look like a gost town. Create a facebook business page and advertise for it like what ukevents already wrote. You need to give users a reason other than an interest in lexus performance to join. Also, you could find car clubs with lexus owners and promote the site to the car club. look into different types of content management website creators such as joomla, wordpress and others. You can build a forum site with a really nice clean look with those with little or no programming experience. Plus they are all free. Best of luck to you.

Content, content, content. Plus good posters/contributors. A forum is only as good as its community and the in the automotive scene I've seen a ton of forums die because the posts/threads were inconsistent and of poor quality.
