    Anybody try mall advertising?

Has anybody here tried advertising your business or website in the mall. I looked at some rates and the prices are very reasonable for what you get... Anybody have any success stories to share?

    Stop and think!

How many businesses have you seen do this?

Then think again. How many have you seen do it a second time?

How many can you recall having even seen in a mall?

What type of business and what sort of results would you expect?

It won't work well... nowadays people don't respond to typical ads, they only respond to TARGETED ads, I think Google AdWords will be better and more efficient.
O! say can you see by the dawn's early light,What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight

Depends on the product, but can be good for advertising a service that's locally based. For example I worked on a project where a pay-as-you-go car rental company was setting up in my city. You can post bill-board ads, ads in local papers and other directory's but going out there and meeting the potential customers can work well.

For the launch in my city the company paid our local mall to host an 'event' in the main walkway. We had a massive inflatable car in the company logo colours and this played on people curiosity. Promoters then engaged with the public, informing them about the service and handing out flyers.

The strategy paid off pretty well, and the revenue from new subscriptions far outweighed the cost of the event. So I'd say it was an idea worth considering.
