Plus its 10 years old and look at the domain

the info I can find says it has like 14 incoming links.

heidrek, you might want to change the site you're using to gather domain data - it doesn't seem to be giving you accurate information.

As others have said, this isn't that unusual. PageRank is designed to tell Google how important a page is... in its given category or field... (this page's category being mortgage refinancing) This page has a great domain, I mean it has the keywords right in there. It has been optimized and it is an old and established domain. (Even if it is ugly as sin...)
I think this site could become a PageRank 5 or 6 if the owner of the website really wanted to and gathered some worthy backlinks from other relevant websites.

I'm relieved if that's the case - what about links?
urltrends and yahoo site explorer all show this site as having 14 links only, so does the seobook toolbar?
Where did the 2.5K links result come from?

Hey retire - when you mention the page being optimised, wherer can i find some info on what exactly that means?
looking at the site it seems VERY basic and not even well written?
