I am a Marine currently deployed to Iraq and have developed a website to connect military members to available housing in there area. I was just wondering if you guys would take a look at it and give me some comments/critiques. Also feel free to let me know if you would like to get involved with it. The sites name is

I don't think the website looks bad. I still don't understand the niche though. Those rentals are available for anyone so why should you only advertise to people in the military?

Military = they get paid rental allowance. You can go to their commander if they skip paying and get them in deep shit. I'd much rather rent to military, or anyone in service for that matter, than anyone else.

Site looks fine, could use some more refining search features though. e.g how many bedrooms etc.

Seems to me that in business that everything has to do with either A. Be the best or B. find the niche. My niche is the military, there is no site alone that caters to us just for places to live, or nor is there a better community for me to reach out to. I am the community, I know what they look for, what they need. Yes those places are available to others but when you live within a few miles of a base with a decent population, who do you think the majority of your tennants will be? And wheres the niche between apartments.com and rent.com. Nothing, they compete to be the best, I have no major competition in this field, of course I will be competing with the big names at first but over time type the words apartment near xxx base, see what comes up first. It will be me, I think that that is my Niche, making it useful to a certain crowd, and yes it does limit my business to them for the most part. The only saving grace there is that there is a base in almost every state, and there are 1.2 million active service people, I dont think ill have a hard time finding someone who wants to rent there place close to them. The site is under continuous improvement and renovation. I always ask my costumers how to make it better, and slowly but surely, base by base, state by state, I am. Anyone here interested in involving themselves with me please let me know.

I think the site looks awsome! It looks very proffesional and I like all the graphics. I also think you're idea is very creative and definetely has potential.
