I have build been building partnerships with similar blogs and companies. We co-host competitions and post about each others blogs and companies. Sometimes we co-host events and engage in other projects that leverage the efforts of each others companies to bounce traffic back and forth.

This is what I have been doing with my blog College Mogul, which profiles and reviews college entrepreneurs and their startups. By leveraging partnerships, it helped us grow traffic from 1,600 to 7,000 in one month.

For me, blog commenting is my best source of traffic. One small comment on a blog can get in 10-20 visitors.
