Traffic needed for New website

Hi guys, I have a new website which i need traffic. Where can i really get traffic other than social bookmarking, directories, search engine, post articles and paid advertising?

you didnt copy of the million dollar homepage did you? I doubt this will ever work again by the way.

yeah, the original concept came from million dollar homepage. but there are some differences. In a bid to bring not only traffic but quality traffic, i have input a million dollar giveaway for shoppers. do kindly give comments, i would be glad to improve and add a few more features to it... thanks!

If you give me some adspace for free I would be glad to add you to the directory of my newest web sites Yeti Free Stuff - Free Online Flash Games, Free Videos, Free directories, Free Downloads, and More. You have to keep in mind that no one wants to buy adspace on an empty site so you may want to give away some space in exchange for links.

Your site will be hard to promote though because its only purpose is to sell adspace. I would advertise by posting your link in the advertising section of directories and classifies. For example if you accept my offer your site would be added to my advertising page Directory - Advertising

Hi Guys! Thanks for your valuable comments...

I know I know it has been done before...it's great to hear some negative comments at times so i can improve.

for advertiser who purchase ads on my site, they are entitle to an image on the space that they purchase, plus, an additional mouse over business card or extra image and text description. They will also have a thread starter on the forum to update their latest offer to consumers and upcoming products or services. And whenever shopper or visitors make any purchase with them, shoppers stand a chance to win a million dollar. All this will be absorb my us from the ad revenue. They just pay for the space and anytime they can change the image and text description as they business changes.

For the consumer , this site is a contest driven site. other than giving one million dollar cash away to shoppers and ipod touch when the pixels complete. there will be giveaways and contest for sign ups, forum members, shoppers and visitors as the site grows..

My site is still working on some features, but anyone can reserve their space today. and if you don't have a site, just have fun at my site.

i know right now it seem empty, but take into consideration that it's still new. ha!! thanks!!

these sites are useless for the idiots who actually buy space. I read some where that of all the advertisers on milliondollarhomepage, only one got a significant traffic boost and that was the guy that paid 40000 for 100 pixels, and that was only because it was in the news heaps. The other people pretty much wasted their money.

Well if you got the script for free, it was an inexpensive lesson. It's a good idea to think about who your audience is and how to get them to your new website before you build it.
