PR on a small budget?

Hello everyone I am new here. I have used Orca communications as a PR source a year ago. They had a great package that got me 3 months of coverage for 4K......Unfortunatley with the economy I cannot afford to go that route again......Does anyone have any other sources that are cheaper? I got an email from another company giftlistmedia Detailed & comprehensive media list for pitching products for Holiday.[/url] seems very cheap, but I dont know how legit they are.

Any ideas?

yeah..things don't really work like that man
it's absurd to try and pick what kind of promotions might or might not work for you
really, the better approach is to survey your customers directly and ask how they expect to be marketed to..and they'll tell you what steps to take from there

interesting issue..
ever tried roadshows/events & bring it upfront & physical?
i am checking if this is the best marketing strategy or will you be open to try other means of marketing?
there are like a few hundreds method of marketing but to determine which combinations to use will be a different approach..

just a suggestion..
because in order to have the best sellable, cost-effective set of marketing tools, we need to look at the very foundations & fundamentals of your business..

I just posted a similar advise on another thread, but I'll post it here too:

I would go for a one-time ad in a magazine targeting your audience. The ad would have to offer a one-time discount for example, to get people to respond. This way you don't need long-time coverage and you're more likely to get a good ROI on the marketing.
