I am opening up a late night cookie delivery shop in Columbia, Missouri next year. Basically what I am looking for is some market research on cookies such as which cookie dough, toppings, and other ingredients are like best by the age group of 18-25.

If anyone knows of where I could get this information without having to pay $2000 for a long detailed report I would appreciate it. Or any other advice on where I could find marketing research for cookies.

For something so detailed you will need to conduct your own research or hire someone to conduct the research for you.
Alternatively, there is a tool in development that will allow you to administer surveys directly to your exact target demographic and psychographic for a lot less, but won't be ready for 1.5 months.

Try something like Poll Daddy to set up your own poll or survey and then send it out to people you know and tell them to pass it on to others who are within the demographic you're looking for. Also get them to post the link on their blogs, Facebook, etc.

You should also print out the survey and maybe go on campus or on the streets and conduct a face to face interview with students and people alike. Make sure the survey is short and you have incentives such as lollies to give out for completing it.

Sure, it might be time consuming, but it'd save you a lot of money and it's also a great way to promote your upcoming store within your community.
