Hi Guys, I am about to launch my website and was after some advice on how to successfully market it.... I want people to purchase my product! Also Retail Buyers!!

Matt there are so many options! Give us more details about your product please. Advertising is one obvious choice (adwords, placement targeting, etc) but there are ways to be more creative about it too. If you provide more specifics it'll be easier to advise.

Whatever you do, design your marketing effort for the target audience. From my experience I have seen its just waste of time doing it for non-targeted audience.

Yes, I will agree with most of the above. Adwords is probably the easiest and best source of advertising you can use to start off with.
