marketing a radio station

hello people,
planning on starting a radio station in a few months. was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to market the station/ ideas on how to get more listeners.

some questions on here seem rather weird; why would anybody starts a radio station and come here to ask for ideas on how to market it to get more listeners?

Isn't that part of the core due diligences one must first pen down?

You should start a website and promote your radio station.But most importain is what do you plan to show.

I'm interested in the cost of the radio station and your location too,i used to think to start a radio statioin is not cheap,am i right?

Here's a thought, put examples of all the shows on Podcasts, and then post the podcasts at all the carrier sites, like pod pickle. Also, why start a broadcast station when you could do the same thing entirely online with podcasts. Granted the advertising becomes different, but it would cost a bunch less and your not subject to FCC requirements.
