    Marketing a New Supplement

My name is Jake Burbridge. I just joined this website after reading through some of the content and I really liked what I have read through so far. It's hard to find other young business minded individuals to connect with and this seems like a great place where I can do that.

Anyways, I own a health and fitness company that helps people reach their fitness goals so far through the use of our exercise program and our motivational service called MobileFit. We have 5 gyms in the area and are opening a brand new one next month an hour from here. I am posting this because I am also in the process of putting together and testing a new formula for a muscle building supplement and also a weight loss supplement. I picked these two because this covers the majority of our clients. I am going to market this in our gyms and through our service that has a few thousand subscribers right now.

My question for everyone here is what other ways do you think would be a cost effective avenue for marketing this product to get it out to an even broader number of consumers? Anyone on here actually launched a successful supplement? Or does anyone have good ideas on how to effectively market this in our gyms? Let me know your thoughts. I look forward to being a contributor to this forum and thank you in advance for your feedback.

    Interesting..
I wonder if you are looking at short term, surface-scratching, fire-fighting quick bites?
    OR..
Some long term, deep-in-the-roots strategies that once it is done, it will set as a system in your business?

I am looking for a platform to sell this product for what I see as the long-term. Any advice or ideas is helpful though, let me know. Thanks.

    Good enough..
I will like to check what kind of marketing activities have you planned and done for your supplements..
What are the forecasts and the results?
And what factors are contributing to that and what changes would you like to have to achieve what kind of results?

Pardon me as I will need some info to back me up so that I know what we are looking at..

Motivating gym members to tell their non-gym member friends about the supplements. Some people may not go to a gym but may play sport or may life weights in the home. If you offer a bulk buy discount many gym members may introduce your supplements to their friends to get the discount.

Here are my suggestions. First, do not go full blast marketing but give away free samples of your products first to people in the gym, those who you trust and would give you honest feedback. Generate first good reviews before spending on your marketing.

Once you are able to achieve good reviews, put up a booth at your gym selling your products at a discount. The good thing about this is, word of mouth spread fast! It would be nice for those who had tried your product to start recommending it to the other members.

Also, create better and stronger presence outside your gym and not only to members by giving out something when they purchase your product. Give them custom leather bracelets (click on my sig) with the logo of your brand imprinted on it. It gives your supplement more exposure especially since these custom bracelets can be worn with any fashion statement or get-up. It is a very affordable form of advertising that exposes the brand of your product even faster than plain leafleting.

Let me know if you need more help!
Mondort Custom Leather Bracelets for your giveaway item needs. High quality, affordable, excellent customer service.

Since you have 5 gyms, I would believe that you have plenty of customers am I right? Ever thought of getting your current clients to be your distributors?
