Just look at youtube, people and businesses get discovered there everyday. If anyone can sing and dance on youtube and get a contract, its definetly something you want to use in your marketing. Just make sure you have good keywords and it will be even easier to find you as well.

I think is not future of online promotion, in fact it is a very important resource for marketing since some time ago. It is a very good alternative to increase your marketing. Additionally if it is combined with other tools of advertising would be gotten better results.
