I am really impressed with the marketing on Facebook. You can rack up quite the bill to advertise unless you limit your daily ad budget but you can pin point your audience, for instance you can choose to target just people with the work "fashion" in their profile, or people who are fans of a clothing line ect.... Not to mention you have access to a potential audience of tens of millions.

Before you go live, you also need to think about having terms and conditions up on the site - there are all sorts of legal issues in connection with having people upload photos to the internet - copyright issues, rights of privacy, etc. You need to make sure that your users understand the rules governing your site. Also, you need to make sure that users know what information you will be collecting from them (e.g., will you be dropping cookies on the site? engaging in behavioral advertising?).
