How to reach Businesses instead of people

Frrom reading on other posts,
i guess the easiest and best way to get more people to view my site is by commenting on other sites.

But what we want to do is deal with small businesses.
we are Distributors, so our market would be small businesses right?
i have e-mailed, called, and visited a few smalls stores to introduce the products we offer and still no luck yet..

any help on what to do next?
our website is
T F S Trading Food Solution INC.
its not 100% done yet and not the best one out there.
but i think it gets the message out there.

thanks

Interesting,

Getting shelf space in any store is not easy, so you have a challenge if that is what you are trying to do. The only way you can hope to get store shelf space is to either have a product everyone wants, and purchases, and then prove it to store owners, so offer to set up a free stand for test market, and offer special initial pricing, if not a dozen free samples, this always gets the attention of a small business owner, FREE.

You have to be prepared to spend money before you can ever hope to earn money, so giving away free samples to test market is the only way I know to get started with a no name product line, quality or price point merchandise is something only you can define, so make sure your target the correct type of retailers.

Good luck, Mike

Go where they know you already

Just to ad to above responses.

You are in a very special market segment. Imagine that it will be difficult to convince the store owner to give you space, as they do not see the products having any demand at the moment. And they want it the easy way and sell what's in demand.

I think you have 2 options here.

1 - Go to areas where you have a high percentage of Latin immigrants who might know those products from back then at home, or who are more likely interested to try something from south america.

Over this you can get basic sales to get or get near break even. This as well can open to doors to special food stores.

2 - PRODUCT PLACEMENT. After you have some sales and clients, you should try to get some famous (Latin) personalities to be your testimonial, or even better, to show your product, use it at a party or anything in this direction.
Humans are silly, if some famous geek eats your potato chips, all the others want them too. Just make it look like it is something exclusive, new and hype.

If you get this done you will open the door to the mass and the store owners will be happy to give you a spot in their shelf.

Trying smaller chains, or even approaching someone who works for a smaller chain helps. I had a friend who had a product he wanted to get into Trader Joes and Whole Foods, and he looked up some employees on LinkedIn and Facebook and made some friends in strategic places.

Good luck!

Just an opinion on the website, I would recommend doing some searches for free professional templates because your site just has a free website builder feel. Some good info on there though, my .02
