Has trade show marketing worked for you? If so, what industry are you in and how much business did you gain from it? Please share any details you feel has helped you be successful in trade shows.

I gain contacts from attending tradeshows. We have set up a virtual office to some small scaled business.

I think its mainly for networking and building long-term relationships..I am working on a new venture that I think will make me spend a lot of time trades

I have made many sales at trade shows that I would not have made otherwise. In addition, I was interviewed and offered to write articles and columns for several print trade publications by the editors of the pubs.

So, in that manner I also picked up further sales as people would contact me after reading my stuff in their dedicated industry type magazines.

Plus, my family and I have gotten to have some nice mini-vacations in Lake George, NY; Baltimore; Ocean City, MD; Atlantic City, NJ; Indianapolis; Richmond, Roanoke and Northern Virginia; Chattanooga; Atlanta; Orlando; Dallas; Las Vegas and other cities around the country. All necessary business expenses, of course.
