How can I promote my site?
Hey guys,
Ive been working on a website for ages now and apart from couple of things on there, its pretty much completed.
My website is a video sharing website built for artists or any creative person that has a show reel. For instance, if you are an animator or director and would like to share your film to the world my website offers this services.
I have just offically launched it today and I need some feedbacks and some advice how I can promote it?
Any ideas would be great thank you!

Start with all of the freebie sights, like Twitter, Facebook, and even MySpace. Create a fan page on Facebook and get your friends to become fans. One of the best secrets I believe a lot of people don't know about, is getting $100 credit for Facebook advertising when you sign up for the Visa Business Network. Just type that in the Facebook search bar and signup. It's free and all you have to do is list your company. It will take a couple days to receive the credit, but when you do, you can make ads that are placed on the right side of Facebook based on your keywords and target audience.
What is the site?
Good luck!

I agree with ballermode, use websites like that. also you should write articles on sites like squidoo, article base, scribd, associated content etc. This will be a great source of traffic. But if you are not good with words or don't feel like writing articles, I will be more than happy to write articles and promote your business for you. If you are interested email me!

I asked for the site URL to get an idea of what you were doing. Facebook and Twitter definitely will help out.

Do some email campaigns offering your services to targeted customers. And aslo you can submit your online business to Online business directory. For the email campaigns you can get companies information through a company directory. There you can get updated and accurate contact details of companies. Hope this helps you.

Try to contact or reach out to your general target. If your looking for animation artists, try to interact with video gamers or web developers, etc.

Ty Torelli here -
One very successful way to promote your site without "spending" money is to sign up with an affiliate company. They have people that will push your site and get your those quality leads and sales!!
A good friend of mine, Mike Filsaime has a new affiliate program out. Here is the link if you want to check it out.

SEO helps promote your site. Search Engine Optimization is a process of improving the volume and quality of traffic of a website on search engines.
