Help reaching our target group on the internet!

Hi,

We have a small web application for employee scheduling.

Our target group is owners of small businesses - retail, shops, restaurants, bars and pubs - big question is - how do we reach these (in the US primarily)? Our price model is low so no door to door sales.

Of course we do Google Adwords and by that we hit the ones that are already looking - but what about the ones that aren't and have no idea how much time they waste by using pen and paper? How do we reach these?

Are there any magazines? Web forums?

Can anyone recommend anything?

Why don't you get a bunch of business cards printed with your company name and a sales pitch on it. Then go and hand them out to the owners, shake hands, and pitch it in person... Get the word of mouth going!

Business directories can give you the required contact details. Our company uses Online company directory for sales prospecting. We’ve found it very helpful because it provides accurate phone numbers and email ids of top-level executives and decision-makers. So, our job is simplified. Take a look. I’m sure you’ll find it useful too.
