    Help Distributing Online Survey

    Hi,

I recently developed an online survey to collect information on how people follow sports on the internet, and I'm having difficulty finding an effective way to distribute it. Can anyone provide some suggestions as to what I might try? I don't have a background in marketing, so anything would be helpful. Additionally, I'm hoping to use the survey results as supporting data for a business plan I am developing.

    Thanks,
    Ben Paulsen

Ben, First thing I would do is set up an account on twitter and start developing followers there by searching out people to follow. You can do that by using twitter's search feature and searching sports and sport types. Find out who's talking sports that way.

Follow those people. They will follow you. But a link to your survey in your twitter profile. That way when they look to see who you are they'll see the link. Periodically post the survey to the people following you. But and this is key, you need to tweet other useful things in the sports arena of info.

Second do a search for Sport oriented blogs. Find the eMail address of the blogger on the sport blogs you find and email them asking them if they would mind going and taking your survey and whether they would be interested in posting a link on their blog to the survey.
