Does anyone know of a rough estimate of when Google is doing their next PR update? I know it's supposed to be top secret, just wondering if it was even going to be this year or not

To my knowledge it is always taking place.. there are just so many sites that it can take up to 5 weeks for your site to be re-indexed. I have no supporting info for this... so maybe someone else has better info?

I believe it's once every 3 months. If you have the pagerank tool on your browser you'll know if there was a change if your rankings increase or decrease. My dating directory still hasn't been ranked which is what I'm waiting for.

I am working hard to get my page rank better position with in August. I believe that they re-index in every 3 month.

they re-index roughly every three months. no one knows for sure when they are going to do it except the google engineers

This is true- it's always being indexed, which helps Google determine what your Page Rank will be- but it seems that my pagerank is "re-ranked" about every 3 months.

PageRank is updated every second. Also, true PageRank is on a logarithmic scale - not 0 to 10. The 0-10 value is referred to by SEOs as "toolbar Page Ranking" or "visible PR."

The "update" everyone talks about is not an update of PageRank itself, it's an export to the Google datacenters that the Toolbar (and some sites offering PR checkers through the API) reads PageRank from.

No its not a secret. google indexes websites daily, a good website should be indexed weekly.

Google just did a PR export a few days ago - new toolbar PR should now be visible. Of course, this isn't a recalculation of your PageRank, just an export from Google's internal data to the data it makes public to users, and a conversion from true PR to the 0-10 scale.

One of my new websites that I've worked so hard on SEO has jumped from N/A to PR 4 in just about 3 months!
