Google adsens - your first $100

Ive had adsense setup on my blog since Jan 1st and Ive only had 300 hits, how many hits did it take you untill your adsense account actually started to produce anything? My bank currently says $0.00 and I've verified everything, I would assume by now my bank would show at least SOMETHING (maybe $2.00... at least!)

and to be more specific how many hits did your first $100.00 take you to get?

I don't use electronic transfers, but don't you need to cap $100 before they pay you? You can login to your AdSense account and see how you are doing.

Nope, you didn't say your AdSense balance, you said that your BANK account didn't reflect it, that's a whole different story.

Anyway, first of all:
A) Google takes a little time to refresh your stats.
B) 300 hits is really not enough to see profit, I doubt that there has been a single click.

I know, it's harsh at first, just keep up the good work

No, it's only per clicks and I ahve to say, not all clicks. They count the click rate depending on what the ad owner pays and sometimes it is such a small amount that you don't even get 0.01, that means, rounded up it is 0.00. There are more and more such ads that do not give any profit for you and everyone actually says AdSense is become less and less profitable (except for Google).
I'd say AdSense for search was the best for me, especially when people search for some really profitable keywords.

It's not so much the number of hits but also the relevancy of the ads and also the kind of traffic that is coming to your site as well as the content of your site. And also the position of the ads.

If you have 300 hits and no clicks, I suspect your page is not bringing in the right traffic. It usually means your landing page is not offering what the target market came there to find or it's too generic.

Here's what I have. For one of my accounts yesterday (I just picked the first one), I had about 13 clicks per 210 which is 5.44% conversion. On high days I hit 11% click through conversion rate and low days about 3.5% (the lowest so far). 5.4% is about my average. I'm not sure if that's fabulous but it seems pretty decent.

Ok, so I added adsense to my website Pics or Shens (founded about 2 weeks ago) 2 days ago. So far I have gotten 12,978 page impressions with 1 lousy click for a whopping 0.01%

This has gotten me $0.03! Is there a better route for me to go ad-wise, for a site that doesn't get many click but a good amount of page views? I am already trying to sell ads on adbrite.

Thanks

Well, it's not clear what the site is about. I was confused. I have a 15-year-old and he didn't know what this was either. It's not very clear what you do next and register is not easy to find.

There's nothing wrong with the way it looks but the landing page just needs some re arranging to make it clear what you are offering and bolster conversions. And is it free to register or not?

I don't want to register if I have no clue what it is but maybe they've answered an ad that made it clear or were at a place where they all know what this is. A screen shot wouldn't hurt to offer a preview or test drive. I think a visual of the scavenger hunt might be nice here.

I think the bottom line is that it's just not clear to visitors landing on the page. But keep in mind, I'm landing here COMPLETELY blind, without the benefit of an ad that might have brought me here.

when I had an article hit front page of Digg this summer I got 40,000 hits in 2 days. That only equal'd 40 bucks in google adsense clicks.

I am still working on my first google payout. Once I get that first Hundy I think I'm going to switch to a better system that will pay me digitally instead of by snail mail check like google, bleh.

You can sign up so Google just deposits a check. That's what I do.
