Okay, so I have taken on a new venture. I am second year student at Hiram College in Hiram Ohio. I am in a class called The Entrepreneurial Process. A semester long assignment has been given to create a business plan for a given organization. The group I am leading has taken the task of creating a plan for a Fair Trade organization affiliated with Hiram College. The store has done well but wishes to have a defined plan and is looking for solutions in improving sales. I feel that a strong solution would be advertising but I am not sure about how much money we have to work with just yet. To get consumer attention, I feel that redirecting the public attention from high prices to the social responsibility of Fair Trade is necessary. Does anyone have any suggestions on this topic? I'm looking for some brilliant ideas on getting this Fair Trade store out in the public. Some roadblocks may be the small demographic as well as the location of the store: bottom floor of the student center in a college that is somewhat removed from a city atmosphere in a far suburb of Cleveland. It sounds like a difficult task but I will be working diligently to make this work. And with YOUR help I hope to succeed. Thanks to all who read!
