Have you checked out ContstantContact or MailChimp? As for the database- bought lists are going to be very low converting- unless you pay A LOT.

I'd encourage you to build your list by offering something of value to your customers for free. Or ask your current customers to sign-up for a newsletter (or similar) from your company.

The content of the mail has to be short and on subject. Take care of the title, it has to be catchy, otherwise people will not even open your message. As for the database, the one created by you will be the most relevant. Start creating a database with the people interested in your product/service (evaluators, subscribers, etc) and you can expect to a successful campaign.

Do you have your own database ? you know all of them by person ? or its a list bought from somewhere ? If you dont have a db, try to build one. Build opt-in lists. For that you need to have a website in place..and generate traffic...visit as many forums as possible (like YE) post your site/blog with opt-in list in your signature...and generate a leads db...well, this is some work for you atleast for the next 6 months...

Then, talk about DM.

There are some basic principles like a catchy subject, getting reader's attention, offering 'benefits', call for action and such...but there is only one thing that can tell you what works and what not...and that is 'TESTING'....come up with a few marketing copies, test it with a small group and see which one generates the best response...

Good Luck

Email marketing can bring you success. You should have good quality content in email and reaching out targeted audience is main thing. You can get accurate and updated contact info of a particular area using any online business directories. I’m sure you’ll find it helpful.

If you have a mainstream wesbite buy a mailing list refering to your topic and start from there but if you have a niche you have to build the list your self or buy it off a competitor

I think of emails as another channel of communication. Web marketers have so many resources to keep in touch with their targets- Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube, etc.

Keep that in mind!

Lost building is only effective once you have gain a lot of people on your list, but you must build that list first from opt in's. I suggest using other methods of marketing that will later lead to list building....

Did this help?
