What experience have you had with any of these free advertising methods:
TrafficSwarm, TrafficPods, Hitpulse, etc.?

I just heard about these in another thread but the person that mentioned them didn't really have any experience with them.

I appreciate any information that you might have.

My experience was not that great. My theory is that you get what you pay for. It is time consuming and not very beneficial to a your business. Let's face it, we have to put in to get anything back. I gave up on trying to find a easy way out. I hired ppcgeeks.net to manage my marketing campaign. It was worth the investment immediately.

I hope that someday any company will be able to get a list of email addresses of all the folks that want information on new products split up in specific catagories for FREE. This would allow anyone to market direct to their target audience and cut out the middleman and and reduce prices by 20% on many products.

There are other free advertising methods: like forums (right here), social bookmarking (digg, delicious, stumbleupon, etc), doing your own SEO is free and leads to organic traffic. All it takes to do your own SEO is some immagination and the google adwords keyword tool. Look for high searches, few advertiser competition - easy as that.

The best form of free marketing, is lead capture pages, also I have knowledge of a few, but press releases, and raising prices are good ones. Yes raising prices, who knew that you could actually increase your revenue by just increasing your prices by 10%. But I hear you say, customers they will turn away, they wont if you say what exactly you will doing for them in terms of extra benefits you offer.

Traffic swarm and other traffic exchanges, usually eat up bandwidth, and dont deliver results.

That is based on my experience.
