    Creative Advertising

Wondering if people can think of some creative and/or effective advertisement ideas for a hardwood flooring company.

Any questions just ask, thank you.

whiteboysokrazy, it only feels like it is geared toward internet business because most of the guys on here really don't have the guts to commit to anything but a website. Maybe that is too strong of a statement, but this site really is for all types of businesses, most teens just like the "get rich quick w/o work" fantasy of the internet.

As far as your hardwood flooring business (and I am assuming you are doing the installation), the biggest key with stuff like that is before and after shots and getting into their homes. Offer free consultations and bring a book full of before and after shots from all the jobs you do. Once you can sit down with them and show them how great of a job you can do and how awesome it will look once it's done and commit them to it on the spot...like a true salesman

    Hello:
I think a good advertisement could be to transmit the idea that the floor gives you the security to support your daily ideas, and try to relate it with naturally comments.
    Good Luck!

If I were you I'd contact a contractor or builder and see if they could use you. Get in on a contract to be putting in these floors in house after house as they're being built. I wish you the best!

I did this 15 months ago.

To just start out, what I would do is talk to other small businesses and joint venture. What you do is find Jims Painting, and RJ windows and doors, Johnnys Tile, and make a one page agreement like this one.

Joint Venture Agreement - Free Legal Form

just not about funds. make it that if you get a job and you are talking to the owner, they always say 'I wish I could find a cheaper painter. Do you do painting?" NOPE BUT I HAVE A PARTNER THAT DOES.

then when you get him a job he pays you 10% of the profit. you then have others financially vested in your growth, and free advertisements. You all then act like a small personal company which people love but have big potential to do all aspects of the house. BUT make sure you do good work cuz first impression is what you need... especially other companies that are in the same field. You need to make sure they do great work as well. You recommend them as your partner, and they suck, you go down too.

Good luck man. I made good money but I was in Calgary Alberta Canada where I grew up and there was a housing boom going on. Small companies popped out everywhere. And everyone made money.

If you are in a somewhat trendy area, you may want to send out bulk postcards advertising bamboo flooring specials (its a sustainable building product, appeals to the green movement... If there is one).

You could also sponsor local events and home improvement expos...

If you are looking for something cheap, hook up with a DJ service that does weddings, receptions, parties and provide them with a hardwood modular dance floor to use at their functions... In exchange for some kind of an advertisement. With this idea, I would only commit to providing the floors for a short period of time (6 mths or so)... That way, if it does not generate a measurable response, the DJ returns your flooring and you find a different DJ or you go back to the drawing board...

    Hope this helped. -Tyler

Door hangers seem to always deliver if they are designed properly.

Why don’t you check how are working competence companies in order not to repeat their strategies of marketing, and based on that you can build your own strategy.

I do a lot of advertising on coffee cups and food court tables. Tag both the mediums with some call to action that leads to the web or mobile. Its the interactivity that really makes your campaign stick and plus it greatly increases your ability to apply some metrics to your campaign.
