Leave a link where ever you go.

Ok this is a slower process but it reaps long term results.

I would leave signatures and put interesting comments where I surf. Be it forums, social networks. It helps...

I believe your life is quite interesting..Write more on your blog...A lot of people would want to learn from you too...

Stumbleupon is fantastic and a free way to drive traffic. If you include some nice images in your posts it helps and also remember to tag it correctly.

You have to have an incentive for people to want to come to your site, and stay there...

I commend you on doing a great job. All that dirty work to get traffic can be done all in one place. Get with a good company offering SEO, and all other aspects of marketing all in one. I know one company that offers that type of service for about the price of movies for two, and you only have to use this type of service once to see results

All of the above are great ideas. What helps me is signing up to forums, and being a regular member (you have to be to get people to notice you and your signature).

You wouldn't believe the traffic I get from people seeing my posts on forums and clicking on my signature.

More: When you sign up for forums, if at all possible...make your user name the URL to your site. ([example] user: yoursite.com pass: *****) That helps a ton. If you can fit it, and if it's permitted that is.
    the bookworm has arrived.

I have also just started a website and the ways that I have discovered drawing traffic to my website simply include doing research. Search on google and you will find tons. I have put videos on youtube, blogged on many blog sites, and of course just started joining these forums.

In all honesty, this has proven to be the best.... I have had 20 new users today!

We have been doing direct mailings and things but that hasn't proved to work as much.

Good luck with us and check out spotabusiness.... we can add you to our directory too and it will help tremendously. Get more information at our site!

Build a strong, solid business foundation. Design a business plan, marketing plan, ideal client profile and 30-second elevator speech.

the thing is it is not about getting traffic it is about getting targeted traffic to you site every day.

That is key. you will make more sales from targeted traffic rather than random traffic.

    We use the following.

    PPC
    Joint ventures
    press releases
    CPA
    PPV
    articles
    guest blogging
    syndication
    blog posts that are SEO'ed
    forums
    Networking at marketing events
    signs on cars with websites
Wearing thongs at beach with website carved into bottom. (this is fun too)

    Hope that helps.

The drive should start on the website itself. Post interesting and unique stuff and you'll get regular visitors/readers. Also, you can use Facebook, Twitter and other Social Networking sites to promote your site. Hope this one helps!
