    Starting your biz

    Hi again,

    Thanks for the further details.

I just gave 'Alex' another new start up some advice on the important begining steps on 'getting started' and I think that the same would apply to most businesses just getting the ball rolling.

Check out this post here: Hello EVERYone

Give us your feedback or any other specific questions you may have.

    To your success,

Use some ad words, adbrite, hire SEO so that they can help you to send search engine traffic to your website.

Mind it that if people will reach at your website by searching than the conversion rates from such traffic is really high compare to the traffic from forum posting, blog commenting and others.

I see your point MJR, you are asking yourself, why is mynewbiz offering marketing services at the same time as asking for advice on how to bring his business to market.

I agree that it is a contradiction in terms but no 2 businesses in the same field are the same, one will have more experience than the other so there is no harm in asking for advice from those who have it to offer.

My advice to mynewbiz would probably be to start a marketing degree, I'm not convinced that being a self-taught photoshop jockey really qualifies you to start a marketing company. Please put me right if I am wrong.

Are you marketing to people locally or abroad? I did some web designing a few years back and had tremendous success with just sending out mailers (containing a sales letter) to local business owners. I had a great response rate and a great return on investment.

Here is a Tony Robbins interview with Chet Holmes. It gives some wonderful marketing advice, might be helpful.
