I have been to their office in NYC to pitch my company to the business development arm of his company. It was definitely a surreal experience, the guys that work there are incredibly smart. A very entrepreneurial culture there.

Agreed, Richard Branson is a marketing genius. But just look at the products he chooses - most if not all the products are existing products and he has put his own stamp on them. In many cases his branding represents fair, no corners cut, fun, daring and passionate. He lives his life how he wants others to see his brand.

His book is a fantastic read.

I also read his book. I was definitely inspired by his bravado. I love how the man goes balls to the wall. He epitomizes "go big or go home". He's taken on the record industry, the airlines, wireless industry, the cola industry and now is attempting space travel. It was amazing to learn how many times and how often he came so close to losing it all. His personal life struggles really humanize his accomplishments.

And seriously, I was impressed by his adventures as well. Speed boating the Atlantic or hot air ballooning the globe... he is awe inspiring in every sense.

Richard Branson is by far the most iconic billionnaire I've ever learned about. I dream to accomplish a fraction of what he's done.

I highly suggest reading his book.
