My grandfather always told me that there is no one to envy and no one to put on a pedestal. Despite Bill Gates' perceived personal shortcomings and flawed business decisions, we can emulate certain business practices that he used to get to the top -- save for stealing intellectual property, if applicable.
Possessing a long-range vision, networking, forming a creative team, learning from failures, and perhaps most important of all, QUESTIONING our own business policies, practices, and procedures may be a general blueprint for attaining financial success.
One Internet marketer, for example, asks his readers to question their business constraints -- the obstacles that get in the way of successful entrepreneurship. He asserts that once business owners become more aware of these constraints, they can tackle and overcome them, and their businesses will inevitably improve, if not flourish.
Of course, we have to think "outside of the box," remain inquisitive, consider all options, and take action! We don't have to be the next Bill Gates; we just have to be our best selves.
