Writing an E-Book - And Selling It

Need an opinion here:

I am writing an ebook as a new author. I feel the content is promising and of course I have given myself to researching and studing (in depth) about creating, marketing and distributing ebooks, but I have a couple of concerns:

1. Is it only the information/Internet marketing or "how to make [more] money" ebooks that really sell? What about titles of a different genre?

2. What other type of e-books have proven to be great sellers?

Your comments greatly appreciated.

I think any ebook that catches peoples attention and is demanded can be sold. I have sold a few ebooks in the "entrepreneur/make money" market but didn't do nearly as well as i did selling ebooks that were simply plans telling people how to build cool inventions of mine. Look for a niche you know a lot about and then think of what you would want if you were going to have someone write an ebook for you. Think also of ways to incorporate video and audio in an ebook package, ebooks are great but the most current and valuable form is through a/v products.

A tool that you can use to research your niche is wordtracker, the free version first, to see what keywords people use to search.

You stated that you put time into researching how to create, market and distribute the eBooks... but have you put a majority of that "research time" int researching the topic of the book itself. People want cold hard facts in a book so when writing a eBook... research the topic thoroughly, confirm your information from varied sources that are reliable.

Good luck...

Yes, I am well aware of that. I decided to execute this project with 100% writing sense as well as 100% entrepreneurial sense (most people only approach writing and selling an e-book with the former).

I think I have a good strategy for conveying the information I have and it being marketable (therefore selling).

Thanks.

I think the best ebook to write will be what your expertise is.. when people see you are good at what you write they will buy it

I think the popular ebook on internet must be about making money.. but I think if you write different genre that really high quality, I think you should be no problem to market it..
Only have to found the right niche and target market properly... Must do some research first about this..
Good Luck..
