I've been lurking here for a while now and recently signed up to announce the launch of my new web site: http://www.widzoo.com

What is it?

thanks for your comment.

As I understand it the SnapPreviews show up when the user hovers his/her mouse over a link on a webpage. And I agree that is quite annoying.

However, what I am trying to achieve is help web site owners to get something like this: http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/top_sit...obal&lang=none

where they can show web site thumbnails along the site's information as done on Alexa's list.

To get that kind of functionality one have to:

1) code own solution
2) pay for thumbnails offered by

• Amazon/Alexa's Site Thumbnail service at $0.20 per 1000 thumbnails
• girafa.com free for 2000 thumbnails per day, otherwise starting from $20/month
• thumbnails.com starting from $20/month for 100.000 thumbnails

Further some of these services have severe limitations as in fixed thumbnail sizes and the inability to screenshot web pages outside the home page.

widzoo.com is trying to be a free alternative to these services without the limitations mentioned.

I guess my web site isn't clear enough in expressing that.

I'll try to improve it.
