I'm not sure if the eccentive of starting blogs would be for making money purposes, but there are a quite a few that do. Bloggers becomes the go-to guy in their particular community, whatever it may be. It requires alot passion and devotion to their particular community. Which is why they become the go-to guy. Which is they get payed by affiliations. I guess if you already have the love and passion for a given thing, you can start a blog to make money.
