What is this web-site?

Hi

I would like to know what classification/type of web-site this is? What if your competitor was listed on this site?

Code:
http://www.lantus-x.com/result.php?Keywords=consultants&host=www.lantus-x.com&cat=1
What if your competitor was listed on twelve sites just like it (practically clones), all sites owned by one company? I am curious to know.

thats a landing page, pretty much people buy domains, if they arent using the domain for something useful they stick that on. It would provide your competitors with backlinks which will help with their SE rankings but as the PR is low they wont be that benificial

Hey thanks Slevin

I just don't know what all the different names are yet. Are these landing pages something that search engines consider un-worthy?

A web-site that uses that type of landing page is showing up in all the searches I make for my site, mine is several pages back. I am attempting to figure out exactly what they are doing and decide what I do.

I hate those landing pages when I mistype a URL. I don't know anything about SEO (search engine optimization), but check this site out:

Hey

Thanks guys. I have landed on a few of those pages that Morpheus talks about, not a good thing.

These pages are I refer to here seem to be created to increase the web presence of the companies listed on the page. The web page addreses are strange and I don't think thay are typo landing pages.

I agree about the linking to good PR sites with relevant keywords/content. That is what I am doing now but it is a slow process. I continue my journey.

The pure definition of a landing page is just what it sounds like: it’s the page your website visitors arrive at after clicking on a link. It could be your home page, or any other page in your site.
