website images

For any of you who have a web site, where did you get your images and logos from. Some of the images look like stock photos, such as a generic business person gladhanding, and the main logos look as if they might be professionally done - did you get them from getti images or something. Did you outsource the logos to a web designer (I'm guessing the professional web designers did it themselves)? http://eprojectsolutions.com/imagehost/ is an example of a logo. http://eprojectsolutions.com/domain/ has examples of images.

I was trying to put together a web site before that was basically a betting exchange. Now I can do J2EE stuff, but I found creating professional images in a paint program a problem. Whether that's a logo, or just a bevel or binding for the menu bar.

I suppose you either:

- pay for a web designer to design the site including images from scratch
- leverage your own photoshop skillz
- pay for stock images
- use one of the many free stock image sites
- pay for a designer to design a logo for about $200

It would be great to have a quick survey on what people here have done. I've been quite impressed by many of the web sites owned by people here that I've seen.
