It has come to my attention that most of my readers (on my seo blog) don't leave a comment. There can be many different reasons which I can come up with but it wouldn't make much difference which reason it is. I am sure that many other bloggers face the same issue and I found a way to "potential" rectify this issue.

I have allowed commentators the ability to have a followed link to their website as well as added a "top commentators" plugin so that the people with the most comments will get displayed on my home page with a followed link (no link condom baby).

Of course, i will actively monitor the comments for quality control, but I am hopeful that people would be more prone to comment this way. I hope that this will help motivate bloggers to blog more, as readers motivates bloggers to write more and better (esp people who comment).

well for the blog i use to have, only my friends left comments, real life or online friends. maybe you can ask your friends?

I currently receive comments from people either in the business or were looking for the certain seo information via search engines. I wouldn't really expect my friends to comment unless they were interested in SEO or business strategies.

I am currently receiving a fair amount of traffic via organic search results, yet not many of them leave comments (even though they do navigate through the website.

Does anyone else have this problem?

My importing blog is relatively new so probably wouldn't be getting as much traffic as your seo blog and like yours not many people leave comments. I think if you leave a more open ended tone to your last blog post more people will comment and once one person starts commenting the rest tend to follow.

I am getting comments now, I had to get my blog and name out to the blogging world. Regular visitors from search engines don't leave messages, they like to remain anonymous however other bloggers likes their presence to be known.
