hi everyone, im new here and im just starting out in the internet e-commerce thing. I can program (BASIC, JAVA script) and web design in HTML so I was thinking about setting up a web design site and put adsense or adbright on it. Sound good? Can i get some tips on starting out and how to make money effectively in this field (or any field e-commerece or add related?)

I don't think a web design company would be a good idea. I would recommend a free template site that is ad-supported.

Is it imperative i get a domain name to start out or is a subdomain ok until i can get funding?

A domain is imperative.
Would you stick around a site named yoursite.freehost.com?

The best way to make money with a website, is to get it done properly. Great design, well coded, well marketed, etc.

Either find a popular type of site, and jump on the bandwagon. Or find a totally uncovered niche.

If you could give more info, I'm sure you'd get a better response.

I realise i was not very specific. I think the best way to illustrate this si to make the site then let you people see if its anygood. Ill make a work in progress site and then post it here.
