Very interesting article

The discrimination against teens in the hosting biz is not needed, considering many of these hosts offer good features at competitive prices.

I think the adults are getting scared because of the many blooming masterminds about

I found it very interesting, however I really didn't get anything out of it. It was nice hearing things coming from people my own age range (not 13-15, 16-21) and it was cool to hear their opinions. I believe that the youth are going to lead the world into the future and we will continue to innovate the already innovated. Thats why licensed my first broad range business under "Innovative Trading." Thanks Steve for the article.

There are ups and downs - depends on who you work with. Kids are fickle - but hell, who isn't?

Thanks for the good read.

I loved it!

It was just proof that it is possible to start something young and succeed.
My best wishes to all of them, who took the time and dedication to start and run a professional hosting company at such a young age

Sounds like you've met my host. Did I just say that?

Hey when I was a teen I also did web hosting....partnered up with a friend to do it (because I know nothing about computers). However it never went anywhere, we made a bit and shut down due to lack of customers (not to mention an even more fickle company who sold space to us).

Ironically my current host (who owns all the servers) actually has over a dozen spelling errors on the control panel....he's great, reliable, and fast to answer my queries, but I imagine the spelling errors might scare people off.

I reckon most entrepreneurs have probably been involved with web hosting sometime during their teen years

i think MOST would defintiely be an overstatement. i would assume less than 1% of "entrepreneurs" have ever been involved in web hosting.

I took a look at the site links provided in the article, and i must say, the sites are impressive. These kids are only 13-16years old and what they do, is simply amazing and mind-boggling.

My experience has not been a good one. It wasn't the hosting being done by teens but it was the advice that i got that was from a teen...Lets just say it was bad advice. The host turned out to be in England btu was not mentioned at all on the site so all of my payments were late because of the mailing time. I was charged extra for this.

My advice for anyone would be to make sure that the host is reliable and you know ALL the information about them, no matter what age the host is.

But what do I know, i guess im just another "teen"

This doesn't seem fair, in my opinion.

If the company wants to do worldwide service, and they also accept mailed payments, should they not be a little more lenient?
